What type of identification will I need to board the ship?

U.S. citizens traveling on cruises that begin and end in the same U.S. port must show proof of citizenship (such as an original or certified copy of a birth certificate) and a government-issued photo ID (such as a driver’s license). Effective June 1, 2009, U.S. citizens traveling on cruises that begin and end in different U.S. ports, or begin or end in a foreign port, must have a valid passport or recognized WHTI-compliant document. U.S. Alien Residents need a valid Alien Resident Card. Canadian citizens must present a valid passport. Non-U.S. citizens need a valid passport and a valid, unexpired U.S. Multiple Re-entry Visa, if applicable.
Passport: U.S. citizens may present a valid U.S. passport when traveling via air, land or sea between the U.S. and the Western Hemisphere countries.
Expired Passport: cannot be expired more than ten years from date of expiration to cruise departure; this will only be acceptable for domestic cruise travel completed by 5/30/09.
Guests may apply for passports at more than 4500 passport-acceptance facilities nationwide. These include: passport agencies; courthouses; post offices; libraries.
How do I get to the Port of New Orleans?
Visit the Port of New Orleans website here. We will be sailing on The Carnival Triumph, so follow the signs to the terminal.
Can Sixthman book my hotel, airfare, rental car, or shuttles?
Our specialty is providing unique experiences, bringing artists and fans together. Because of this, we do everything we can to ensure that your onboard experience can’t be beat, but we will not be able to book your air travel, rental car, hotel or shuttle. We will, however, provide a discount with several of our travel partners when possible. If discounts do become available we will announce them as soon as possible.
We also will refer our guests to any number of hotels and shuttle services in the New Orleans area. When the official 2011 website is launched, stay tuned to our travel discounts page for more details.
When will I be sent my boarding documents?
Carnival uses the "Funpass" system, which allows you to print your boarding pass and luggage tags online- no paper tickets will be issued. You will be sent a unique BOOKING NUMBER 3-5 weeks prior to the cruise and be directed to the Carnival site to complete your boarding documents.
